An efficient application process for Algeria visas from the UK

Algeria – officially the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria – is an undoubtedly fascinating country from a both cultural and historical perspective, and there are many reasons why Britons seek Algeria visas from the UK.

Here at Documents and Visas, we can assist your efforts to obtain a visa for Algeria, whether you intend to visit the North African country for reasons of business, work or tourism.

What do you need to be aware of before applying?

If you are the holder of a full ‘British Citizen’ passport, you will not be able to travel to Algeria unless you obtain a visa from the Algerian Consulate in London – or through ourselves here at Documents and Visas. It is not possible to be given a visa on arrival, and you should allow for an up to four-week wait. You may also need to provide an invitation letter as part of your application.

You should check your visa’s details, including validity dates, prior to travel, and will need to possess a passport valid for at least six months from your date of entry into Algeria.

Please bear in mind that the London-based Algerian Consulate will only process the visa applications of residents of the UK and the Republic of Ireland, and that if you are another foreign citizen, you will be expected to provide proof of residence in the UK or Ireland.

Children travelling with parents are also required to have a visa, regardless of their age. An application will need to be made for them if they use their own passport for travel. If the child is on the parent’s passport, all that will be required alongside the parent’s application will be two photographs and the birth certificate.

We’ll help you to secure a visa quickly and efficiently

You can avoid any hiccups with the process of applying for Algeria visas from the UK by following all of the correct procedures for the given type of visa you wish to obtain.

Applicants for a tourist visa, for instance, will be expected to include a letter from their employer or school, including the applicant’s full name, their job role or course of study and the date the applicant is expected to leave and return to work or study.

Applicants must also supply a supporting letter for business or work visas, printed on a company letterhead, addressed to the Algerian Consulate and including the reason for the applicant’s journey and the name of the organisation or company to be visited.

If you have any doubts about the requirements that you must fulfil to secure an Algerian visa as a UK resident, please contact the Documents and Visas team. You can benefit from a processing time of no longer than 15 working days when you choose our service that helps to obtain Algeria visas for UK passport holders.
